Spee Dee Delivery Service is seeking a Support Route Driver to bolster daily delivery operations. You will fill in on open routes, cover unassigned runs, and help uphold safety, service and on-time delivery standards. This is a full-time, nonexempt role with overtime potential.

Starting pay ranges from $21.00 to $26.25 per hour based on experience, with overtime paid time-and-a-half after 40 hours. Candidates must be at least 21, hold a valid driver's license, and be able to lift up to 75 pounds.

Job Summary

The Support Route Driver fills in on open or unassigned routes to support daily delivery operations. This role requires flexibility to cover varying routes and schedules based on business needs while maintaining safety, service, and delivery standards.

Hours and Wages

• Monday- Friday, 7:30AM- completion of route
• 10-15 hours of overtime may be expected each week
• Voluntary OT on weekends (as needed)
• Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week
• Starting wage: $21.00-26.25 per hour, based on experience
  • The posted pay range reflects the compensation range for this position. Starting pay will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, skills and internal equity. Employees are generally hired below the maximum of the range to allow room for future compensation growth as they gain experience, develop their skills and demonstrate increased proficiency in the role. Compensation increases are based on applicable company policies, performance and individual development

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to operate a manual transmission, or have the willingness to learn
• Possess good customer service and can work independently

Education and Experience

• At least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record which meets company standards

Physical Requirements

• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam
• Ability to bend, lift, twist, climb stairs, while moving freight on and off company vehicle
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
