Job summary

Wings Across Alabama seeks a Support Group Facilitator to advertise, promote and grow attendance for newly formed in-person support groups in Hoover, AL (Remote) and local in-person sites. The role includes developing topics and creating slideshows for online groups, plus collecting attendance and demographic data for reporting.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of lived experience with mental illness, be willing to identify as a person with mental illness, and have CPS-Adult certification

Qualifications

• Ability to provide timely response to email inquiries (within 24 hours).
• Ability to attend online and in-person meetings consistently.
• Consistent and reliable internet access for online groups.
• Appropriate, quiet, and private space to conduct confidential meetings.
• 1-2 years of lived experience with mental illness.
• Must be willing to identify as an individual with mental illness.
• Alabama Certified Peer Specialist-Adult preferred.
• If not CPS-A, must be willing to complete 40 hour training within six months of hire.

Job Summary
