Job summary

Solenis is seeking a Support Engineer for the Pulp and Water division in Riegelwood, North Carolina. The role centers on on-site testing, monitoring, data entry, and customer collaboration to ensure optimal chemical performance and program reliability.

You will develop expertise in Solenis technologies while supporting inventory control, equipment installation, and lab work. A technical degree and readiness for field work are preferred.

• Strong relationship management skills.
• Quickly learn Solenis technologies.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine testing and monitoring at customer sites.
• Interface with customers to resolve chemical or equipment issues.
• Manage customer inventory and deliveries to process units.
• Adjust chemical feed levels and compile trial data.
• Troubleshoot issues and communicate opportunities to the site manager.

We are looking for a Support Engineer for our Pulp and Water division in Riegelwood, North Carolina!

What You'll Do

• The primary resource who performs routine testing and monitoring at the customer site including data entry and contributes to service report preparation
• Interfaces with the customer to understand any issues with chemicals or equipment.
• Manages product inventory at the customer including deliveries to process units and offloading to customer tanks.
• Adjusts chemical feed levels to meet optimal chemical performance based on routine testing and monitoring; Delivers chemical and compiles trial data at the customer site
• Alerts the site manager of any problems or opportunities with the customer and begins to troubleshoot issues
• Conducts expanded testing of process variables to identify dosage improvements or mechanical impacts
• Specs out, sets up, maintains and troubleshoots monitoring and feed equipment
• Works with the site team and customers to ensure optimal program performance.
• In this position the employee will be trained to conduct lab testing, repair and install chemical feed equipment, input numbers into excel, inventory control, chemical transfers, and maintain a positive customer (mill personnel) relationship.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree (Science or other technical degree). Would consider experience in lieu of a technical degree
• Solving complex and non-routine technical problems
• Strong relationship management skills
• Industry and customer literate, or ability to pick up industry and Solenis technologies quickly
• Drive for results; proactively addresses complex issues
• Fluency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen and physical
• Must have a Valid Driver's License and Clean Motor Vehicle Record

The expected compensation range for this position is between $70,250.00 and $103,026.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
