Job summary

Aspiranet in Stockton, California, seeks a compassionate Support Counselor II for Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) to positively impact a child’s life by implementing treatment plans in homes or community settings.

You will travel to clients’ homes, build trust, document progress, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team while maintaining professional boundaries and adhering to program guidelines.

Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree in a related field OR completion of 45 semester units with 30 in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing or related social sciences OR two years of mental health experience.
  • Meets all state-required employment conditions, including DOJ fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance, TB/Health physical, and CA Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to client homes or community settings to coach at‑risk youth and guide daily life.
  • Document and share treatment plans with team members, including social workers, parent partners, program managers and clinicians.
  • Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and clinical consultations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Maintain professional boundaries with clients and staff.

The pay range for this position is $22.00- $22.50 per hour for employees hired in the Central Valley, CA. The pay range provided in this job posting represents the typical range or starting rate of candidates hired within the Central Valley region. Candidates hired in Southern California or Bay Area locations may have higher starting salaries due to cost of living and market data differences. As a Support Counselor II for Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) in Stockton, California, you’ll use your education and experience to positively impact a child’s life. While working one-on-one with at-risk youth and their families in their home or community setting, you’ll implement treatment and intervention plans to provide tools for the youth to thrive in their community.


Client Care


  • As a Support Counselor II in Stockton, California, you will travel to your client’s homes or community setting to coach and guide at‑risk youth to strengthen their foundation to thrive in daily life.

  • By building a strong, positive, caring relationship, you’ll create a safe space for your client to share and seek guidance during challenging times.


Documentation & Communication


  • In our team-based setting, you’ll document and share the status and experiences of your treatment and intervention plans with other team members, which may include social workers, parent partners, program managers and clinicians to provide the best support for the youth.

  • Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and clinical consultations.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications


  • BA or BS degree in a related field or completion of 45 semester units from an approved college or university of which a minimum of 30 must be in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing or related social sciences or two years of experience working in mental health related field.

  • Meets all state-required employment conditions, including:

    • DOJ fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance

    • TB/Health physical

    • Valid CA Driver’s License, acceptable driving record, and proof of insurance

  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension).

  • Ability to work independently while seeking guidance when necessary.

  • Strong writing and documentation skills.

  • Proficiency withMicrosoft Wordand standard office software.

  • Excellent time management, multitasking, and organizational abilities.

  • Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries with clients and staff.

  • Field Based position that requires traveling to client's home or community setting

  • Schedule is Monday-Friday Day Shift, with flexibility to work some evenings
