The State of Missouri is hiring a Support Care Assistant to help adults with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. You will support daily living activities, transportation to appointments, medication administration, and engagement in community activities.

No prior experience is required; training is provided. A valid driver's license, high school diploma or GED, and a background check are required for employment.

Support Care Assistant

Salary: Base pay is $1,505.32 semi-monthly. The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. Years of service adjustments (1% salary increase for every two years of service, capped at 10%), shift differentials (additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.), and other targeted salary payments (additional $2.00 per hour in additional duties pay upon completion of medication administration training) are applied to total compensation in your paycheck and are subject to eligibility requirements of the appropriate differential.

Job Location: This position will be located at 2041 E. Hunter Street, Nevada, MO 64772

All you’ll need for success:

Minimum Qualifications:

• No experience necessary and training is provided.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Pass a background screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to work with individuals with physical or mental illness, intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities and/or the geriatric populations.
• Ability to learn first aid, emergency treatments and behavioral interventions and techniques, as trained.
• Ability to successfully pass Level One Medication Aide certification.
• Ability to prepare and maintain records, charts and reports.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Pass a background screening.
