Job summary

CARDINAL RECOVERY is seeking a Peer Support Specialist (CPRS) to provide one-on-one guidance and mentoring to clients in Ohio. Your lived recovery experience will help foster hope and community within the program.

You will co-facilitate groups with clinical staff, document services accurately, and assist clients with recovery planning and connections to community resources. Strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Complete accurate and timely documentation of all services provided, ensuring seamless communication and tracking of client progress
• Assist clients with recovery planning, coping skills, and connection to community resources, helping them navigate their recovery journey
• Collaborate with counselors, case managers, drivers, and other staff as needed, contributing to a cohesive and supportive team environment

Requirements

• Active CPRS (Certified Peer Recovery Supporter) required in the state of Ohio
• Personal lived experience with substance use recovery, with sustained recovery time as defined by Ohio certification standards
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
