Duties

• Analyzes historical usage, project requirements, seasonal trends, and customer demands to determine and maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages of specialized, non-recurring supply items.
• Utilizes automated logistics systems to prepare, reconcile, and process material receipt transactions, ensuring accurate inventory records and timely property book updates.
• Plans and conducts physical inventories of a diverse range of specialized, high-value, and sensitive items to reconcile discrepancies and ensure absolute property accountability.
• Audits and reviews supply record adjustments, transactions, and supporting documentation to ensure absolute accuracy, regulatory compliance, and completeness prior to database finalization.
• Coordinates directly with carriers, shippers, and vendors to reconcile shipping discrepancies, track delayed cargo, and resolve receiving errors to ensure the integrity of supply operations.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Providing comprehensive technical supply operations support for specialized or unique equipment and materials; 2) Managing the lifecycle, distribution, and replenishment of expendable and non-expendable inventory; 3) Planning and conducting physical inventories and reconciling discrepancies; AND 4) Performing property book maintenance and database updates using automated logistics systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
