Job summary

Sky Systems, Inc. (SkySys) is seeking an Automotive Supply Quality Engineer (SQE) to support end‑to‑end supplier quality for motorcycle components from NPI through production and warranty follow‑through.

The SQE will work with senior engineers, plant teams, and suppliers to ensure parts meet quality and safety standards. The role involves PPAP validation, data summaries from warranty reports, and travel to supplier sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant technical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or quality.
• Basic knowledge of PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and GD&T.
• Comfortable working on the plant floor and with supplier contacts.

Responsibilities

• Support NPI/Launch phase activities including PPAP preparation and submission tracking.
• Assist with capability studies and dimensional validations.
• Participate in design reviews by gathering supplier feedback.
• Investigate non-conformances and issue preliminary supplier notifications.

Automotive Supply Quality Engineer (SQE)

Role Summary

The SQE plays a key role in supporting the end-to-end supplier quality process for motorcycle components, from new product introduction (NPI) through sustaining production and warranty follow-through.

This role provides hands‑on support with supplier quality systems, PPAP validation, and addressing early quality issues during launch and production. The SQE will work closely with senior engineers, plant teams, and supplier contacts to ensure incoming parts meet quality and safety standards throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

NPI / Launch Phase

• Assist in supplier PPAP preparation and submission tracking
• Support initial capability studies and dimensional validations
• Participate in design and feasibility reviews by gathering supplier feedback
• Investigate non-conformances and issue preliminary supplier notifications
• Coordinate short‑term containment activities for quality issues
• Log field quality issues and track supplier responsiveness
• Assist in preparing data summaries from warranty reports for team reviews

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or relevant technical experience
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or quality
• Basic knowledge of PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and GD&T
• Comfortable working on the plant floor and with supplier contacts
• Willing to travel up to 50%, including supplier visits
• U.S. Citizenship is required
