Job summary

Brown-Forman in Louisville, KY is hiring two Supply Planning Analyst roles to manage inventory planning across bailment warehouses and support the S&OP process.

You will partner with Supply Chain, Production Operations, Marketing, Sales, Finance and Customer Service to ensure products are available when needed, monitor inventory levels, and translate forecasts into supply requirements.

Hybrid work: in-office Monday–Thursday in Louisville, with remote Fridays.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2–4 years planning experience, or 4–6 years combined education and planning.
  • Strong analytical skills and inventory planning knowledge.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, inventory reporting, and collaboration across functions.
  • Willingness to travel 5–10% as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate demand plans vs. actual activity and plan replenishments to meet goals.
  • Maintain ERP and the inventory planning model for SKU, parameters, and network.
  • Measure and report inventory balances vs. targets; address out-of-tolerance issues.
  • Reconcile field inventories with Brown-Forman perpetual inventories and audit field inventories.
  • Audit warehousing invoices and allocate costs to brands.
  • Conduct operational analyses and support S&OP processes.
  • Collaborate with demand planners and commercial teams on forecast-to-supply translation.
  • Travel 5–10% as needed and support overtime when necessary.

We're currently hiring for two Supply Planning Analyst opportunities , offering a chance to make an immediate impact within Brown-Forman's global supply chain. As a member of the Supply Planning team, you will manage, facilitate, and coordinate inventory planning, reporting, and analysis across our network of bailment warehouses while playing a key role in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. Partnering closely with Supply Chain, Production Operations, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Customer Service teams, you will help ensure the right products are available at the right time to meet customer demand and business objectives. You'll be responsible for monitoring inventory levels and replenishment requirements across the network, balancing inventory investment targets with customer service goals through effective supply planning and execution. In this role, you will collaborate with demand planners and commercial teams to translate forecasts into supply requirements across Brown-Forman's diverse portfolio of brands. You'll also conduct ongoing inventory reconciliations and audits to ensure reporting accuracy and alignment with Brown-Forman's perpetual inventory records, providing critical insights that support operational excellence and informed decision-making.

What You Can Expect
  • Evaluate demand plans vs. actual activity, plan inventory replenishments to network distribution centers and bailment warehouses that meet supply chain goals and provide updated supply requirements to assigned production facilities and suppliers.
  • Maintain ERP and the inventory planning model which includes SKU maintenance, parameter maintenance, and network maintenance.
  • Measure and report inventory actual balances vs. targets. Report corrective action taken to alleviate out-of-tolerance conditions. Manage deployment of short-supply materials.
  • Reconcile reported field inventories to Brown-Forman perpetual inventories. Periodically audit field inventories to ensure the accuracy of field-reported inventories.
  • Audit warehousing invoices, allocating costs to various brands.
  • Conduct Operational Analyses as requested by the Manager of USA&C Supply Planning.
  • Participate in the Sales & Operations Planning process for the purpose of:
  • reporting aged and un-saleable inventory, obsolete and/or de-listed materials to reach consensus on disposition
  • planning re-packs as required
  • planning deployment of short supply materials
  • re-defining inventory planning parameters
  • resolving other inventory exceptions and supply constraints
What You Bring To The Table
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2 - 4 years planning or related business experience; or 4 - 6 years of combined education and supply planning experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and apply standard analytical concepts and inventory planning methodology.
  • Basic understanding of inventory planning processes and how inventory planning supports the supply chain effort.
  • Problem-solving skills with a heavy emphasis placed on the ability to diagnose and solve problems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with a broad range of business associates.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and complete work with speed and accuracy within established timeframes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform and adapt in a rapidly changing environment as necessary.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 5-10% of the time.
  • Demonstrated commitment and ability to work necessary overtime to ensure successful accomplishment of assigned tasks.

Working Arrangement

In-office at the Brown-Forman Louisville, Kentucky Corporate Headquarters Monday to Thursday, with flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.
