Job summary

Prisma Health in Columbia, SC is seeking a Supply Chain Associate to store, requisition, pick, distribute and deliver general medical supplies across hospital settings. You will use scanners and ERP to replenish stock and support nursing units.

No prior experience required; HS diploma preferred. You will join a team in the Material Services department at Baptist Hospital, contributing to accurate inventory and timely patient care.

Responsibilities

• Store supplies in clean rooms, carts, and supply areas, using proper rotation.
• Scan inventory labels to generate replenishment orders for stock and non-stock items.
• Pick supplies for distribution and place into Case Carts and restock Exchange Carts/Procedural Carts.
• Check locations for expired or recalled products and remove per policy.
• Distribute oxygen tanks and minor equipment to units.
• Deliver supplies and packages to nursing units, clinics, and other locations using signature tech.
• Respond to phone calls, emails, and customer service requests.
• Process issues and credits in the ERP system with correct cost allocation.
• Report inventory discrepancies and document according to policy.
• Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Utilize handhelds, scanners, and software programs.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and keep par locations clean.
• Assist with training Supply Chain staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Under general supervision, store, requisition, pick, distribute, and deliver general, medical, surgical supplies and equipment throughout various healthcare settings.

Essential Functions

• Stores supplies in clean rooms, carts, and supply areas, using proper rotation. Scans inventory labels to generate replenishment orders for both stock and non-stock items.
• Picks supplies from storage locations for distribution and placement into Case Carts, and restocking Exchange Carts such as Code (Crash) Carts and Procedural Carts/Trays.
• Checks various supply locations for expired or recalled products and removes them per policy.
• Distributes oxygen tanks and minor equipment.
• Delivers supplies and packages to nursing units, clinics, and other locations utilizing appropriate signature technologies.
• Responds to phone calls, emails, and customer service requests.
• Processes issues and credits in the ERP system, ensuring correct cost allocation.
• Reports inventory discrepancies and documents according to policy.
• Assists with cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Utilizes various computer technologies such as handhelds, package scanners, and software programs.
• Maintains a clean and organized workspace and ensure par locations are free of dirt, dust, and trash.
• Assists with training Supply Chain staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

• This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.
