Job summary

Trinity Health seeks a part-time Supply Chain Tech, Advanced in Silver Spring to support daily supply chain duties for acute and ambulatory care. The role includes equipment handling, par level management, and data entry within ERP systems.

You'll work weekends and some weekdays, with duties ranging from order processing to equipment maintenance, adhering to Kanban metrics and safety standards. Benefits and on-site parking are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years Supply Chain experience in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
• Ability to focus on assignments and seek assistance as required to meet all defined productivity and quality expectations.
• Ability to utilize ERP inventory applications, basic Excel spreadsheets, and email notification reviews to accurately process and receive orders.
• Ability to communicate clear and effectively with fellow Supply Chain colleagues and clinical contacts.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and distributes medical equipment and gas per unit request and established pars.
• Maintains unit par location bins and updates par levels, with label reprints as needed.
• Maintain and clean designated hospital equipment (IV pumps/channels/SCD & breast pumps) and exchange O2 tanks as assigned.
• Demonstrate time management to complete assignments before shift end; minimize downtime.
• Light lifting up to 30 pounds; frequent sitting, walking, standing, and bending.
• Serve as frontline Supply Chain support for ordering, data entry & payment activities.

Shift: Every other weekend: 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, Some weekdays: 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Location: Silver Spring

Position Purpose

Performs daily Supply Chain Management duties related to the acquisition and distribution of goods to support acute and/or ambulatory care departments as necessary or proactively supports/maintains one or more computer-based support systems to ensure continuous operational availability to end users.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and distributions medical equipment and gas per unit request and established pars.
• Maintains all assigned unit par location bins in optimal condition with ongoing par updates and label reprints as assigned or recommended by Kanban Dashboard metric review.
• As assigned, maintain and clean designated hospital equipment (e.g. IV pumps/channels/SCD & breast pumps, cooling/warmers) in good working order; assuring broken units are referred to BioMed for repair. As assigned, exchange O2 tanks per designated unit pars; staged used tanks for replacement.
• Demonstrates accountability through utilization of good time management ensuring completion of all assignments prior to the end of shift. Unapproved downtime must be avoided. Seek supervisor assistance as required. Productivity expectation includes positive trend on Kanban Bin fill rates and utilization, individual scan transactions matching assigned bin Pars and elimination of unnecessary Express Issues.
• Includes occasional lifting, up to 30 pounds unassisted, frequent travel & use of computer; Includes continuous sitting & may require rare long periods of continued walking, standing, stooping, bending, pulling & pushing.
• Serves as a frontline Supply Chain support representative for ordering, data entry & payment activities.
• Assists Supply Chain Leader with special assignments.
• Trains colleagues & readily assume responsibility for extra assignments.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years Supply Chain experience in a healthcare setting.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $17.65 - $25.04

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
