Job summary

HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital is seeking a Supply Chain Technician to receive and distribute supplies within our facilities. You will help ensure the materials needed for quality patient care are available on time.

You will process returns, transport drugs and medical items, and enter data in the SMART system to maintain accurate inventory. A high school diploma or GED is required and prior stock or customer service experience is preferred.

  • Previous stock clerk or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process returns to vendor or backup stock in a timely, accurate manner.
  • Transport and deliver legend drugs, non-prescription drugs and related items.
  • Receive expedited deliveries and enter receiving data in the SMART system.
  • Receive all cross-docked items into the SMART system.
  • Review Min/Max and place timely orders for safety stock.
  • Count par level areas weekly and ensure proper barcode labeling.
  • Conduct QA checks on totes and rotate stock to prevent expiry.
  • Support storeroom and POU areas to avoid stockouts and assist staff.
  • Check after-hour logs to identify charges and prevent recurrence.

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3pm

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Supply Chain Technician, you will work directly in our facilities receiving and distributing supplies. Our Supply Chain team is dedicated to providing the materials needed to ensure quality care can be delivered to our patients.

In this role you will:
  • Process all “returns to vendor” or “returns to backup stock” and deliver supplies in an accurate and timely manner
  • Transport and deliver legend drugs, non-prescription drugs, contrast media and drug-containing devices
  • Receive expedited deliveries, accurately key receiving into the SMART system, and deliver to appropriate department
  • Receive all cross-docked items into the SMART system
  • Review and maintain Min/Max for storeroom safety stock daily and place orders appropriately
  • Count par level areas (POU areas) weekly according to schedule
  • Ensure POU items have the appropriate barcodes
  • Perform QA random checks on totes
  • Rotate stock in POU areas and backup storeroom areas to ensure no items are out of date and provide assistance to personnel
  • Check after-hour logs for charges and determine how to avoid reoccurrence
