About The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the integrity of inventory systems, ensuring accurate stock levels, and supporting procurement activities. The ideal candidate will work closely with department managers, technicians, and vendors to streamline inventory processes, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency. Qualifications

Applicants should possess an Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or demonstrate an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong reading comprehension, basic math skills, and the ability to interpret instructions are essential. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be capable of presenting information effectively in one-on-one or group settings. Experience with inventory tracking systems, procurement processes, and vendor management is preferred. The role requires physical capability to handle lifting over 50 pounds, work in noisy factory environments, and perform tasks that involve climbing, stooping, and working in confined spaces. A proactive, organized, and team-oriented mindset is vital for success in this position.

Responsibilities

The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the accuracy and integrity of inventory records, including restocking, processing repairs, and managing stock levels. Key duties include processing repairs for stock items, ensuring proper storage and timestamping of repair parts, and delivering components to technicians efficiently. You will control inventory from vendors within the department’s budget, analyze stock records, and propose adjustments to reorder levels for optimal inventory management. Additionally, you will process requisitions, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with procurement to expedite late orders. Maintaining a cross-reference system for parts, tracking nonconforming items, and resolving inventory discrepancies are also critical tasks. You will collaborate with department managers to stay within budget, participate in physical inventory counts, and work with accounting and auditors to ensure data accuracy. Sourcing and evaluating vendors, managing purchase orders, and reducing procurement-related issues are integral parts of your role. You will also assist customer service and operations teams with parts transactions, handle warranty claims with OEMs, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and reduce costs. Adherence to safety procedures, participation in quality initiatives, and ongoing professional development through training are expected components of your responsibilities.
