THE ROLE

AMD Corporate Security is seeking a Supply Chain Security Manager to join its global Corporate Security Investigations team. This role reports to the Director of Corporate Security Investigations and partners closely with the Supply Chain Security & Product Loss program to protect AMD’s products, facilities, and partners across a high-value, high-velocity global supply chain spanning wafer fabrication, assembly and testing, third-party logistics (3PL), and distribution. As AMD scales its AI infrastructure and data center business, the integrity, security, and traceability of our supply chain, from silicon to system, have never mattered more. You will conduct site security audits and due diligence assessments of suppliers, manufacturing partners, and logistics providers; investigate product loss, theft, and diversion; and help ensure that high-value AI accelerators, GPUs, CPUs, and other AMD products are secured from the point of manufacture through authorized distribution. You will work in a fast-paced, global environment where your investigative, analytical, and cross-functional partnership skills will play a direct role in protecting AMD’s brand, revenue, and reputation. This newly created role supports AMD’s continued growth in high-value AI and data center products and the ongoing maturation of its global supply chain security program. The successful candidate will bring current, modern investigative practices to help strengthen and evolve how AMD protects its most valuable and sought-after AI products.

THE PERSON
  • Insatiable curiosity and a passion for uncovering facts and following them wherever they lead, along with sound judgment about when and how to escalat.
  • Ability to build trust and credibility across a global, cross-functional organization, including with external partners, suppliers, and law enforcement.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to translate complex findings into clear, defensible documentation for leadership.
  • Comfortable operating independently across time zones and cultures, with sensitivity to local laws, customs, and labor practices during site visits and audits.
  • Creative, practical problem-solver who can balance risk mitigation with business continuity.
  • Collaborative, can-do colleague who communicates with discretion and professionalism, especially when handling sensitive or confidential matters.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site and virtual security audits and due diligence assessments of suppliers, manufacturing sites, and third-party logistics (3PL) facilities to ensure the secure handling, storage, warehousing, distribution, and reclamation of AMD products.
  • Investigate incidents of product theft, loss, diversion, and counterfeiting, partnering with Global Product Investigations and regional security teams across the Americas, EMEA, Asia Pacific, and Greater China, as needed.
  • Perform open-source intelligence (OSINT) research and due diligence on new and existing supply chain partners to identify security, integrity, and reputational risks.
  • Support compliance with the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) and other trade security programs across AMD sites, product storage facilities, and cross-dock facilities.
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and well-documented investigation reports and audit findings, including recommended corrective and remediation actions, for leadership review.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Global Trade, Procurement, Information Security, and business unit teams to assess and mitigate third-party and supply chain risks in accordance with AMD’s Third-Party Risk Management standards.
  • Support the security of high-value, high-demand AI infrastructure products, including accelerators, GPUs, and CPUs, as they move through manufacturing, assembly, testing, and distribution.
  • Track corrective action plans following audits or incidents and follow up to confirm timely closure.
  • Respond to and help coordinate on-site theft, loss, and other security incidents reported through regional security channels.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of AMD’s supply chain security program, policies, and audit methodology.
Preferred Experience
  • Five or more years of experience in corporate investigations, supply chain security, loss prevention, or related risk or security roles.
  • Experience in the technology, semiconductor, or high-value manufacturing industry is a plus.
  • Experience with global logistics and trade security frameworks, such as C-TPAT and TAPA, is a plus.
  • Experience conducting supplier or third-party due diligence and site security assessments.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally to supplier, manufacturing, and logistics sites as needed.
  • Knowledge of state-of-the-art investigative practices, supported by recent, hands-on experience with real-world cases rather than reliance on legacy methods or outdated tools.
  • Strong understanding of evolving technology risks, including how digital, cyber, and physical threats intersect across a global supply chain.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and respond to increasingly sophisticated threats targeting AI technology and intellectual property, including nation-state, insider, and organized theft schemes targeting high-value computing and accelerator products.
ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS
  • Bachelor’s degree in security management, criminal justice, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant certification, such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), or Professional Certified Investigator (PCI), is a plus.
