Qualifications

Experience with SAP and cross-functional collaboration is preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage incoming components and parts based on the master production schedule and inventory requirements.
Coordinate material demand, availability and delivery dates with suppliers to support Naval team.
Coordinate interdepartmental activity with QA, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.
Schedule and expedite movement of parts via move orders, stock transfers and shipping requests.
Ensure data integrity and supplier commitments in SAP.

HYBRID WORK OPPORTUNITY

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement. Hybrid working provides the opportunity to balance time between the office, home, or another remote location. As a minimum, employees are expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.

Please note: This is a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement, and the position will still require the ability to work on the manufacturing floor when necessary.

As a Supply Chain Scheduler for Bird-Johnson, you’ll play an integral role in the preparation, planning, and issuing and controlling of production schedules along with coordinating material requirements to ensure a controlled flow for approved materials is timed to meet production.

What You’ll Do

As a Supply Chain Scheduler, you will help coordinate the flow of materials and components needed to support production. You’ll work across departments and with suppliers to help ensure materials are available when they are needed and that potential obstacles are identified and addressed.

Key Accountabilities

Managing incoming components and parts based on Bird-Johnson’s master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirement
Working closely with suppliers to confirm material demand, availability, and delivery dates to support the Naval team
Coordinating interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.
Scheduling and expediting the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders
Working within Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) system to ensure data integrity and compliance of supplier commitments

We’re looking for someone who can bring strong organization, communication, follow-through and supply chain fundamentals to a cross-functional manufacturing environment.

Basic Requirements

2+ years of work experience in logistics, supply chain planning, purchasing or manufacturing, or a degree.
Must be able to sit for long periods of time and feel comfortable working the manufacturing floor when necessary
