Job summary

Yowei Therapeutics seeks a hands-on Materials Management Supervisor to oversee daily receipt, control, storage, staging, and movement of raw materials and components supporting peptide manufacturing and QC operations in Milpitas, CA.

Core responsibilities include supervising receiving, inventory, and material workflows; maintaining accurate records; coordinating with Purchasing, Manufacturing, QC, and QA; and supporting audits and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in supply chain, operations, business, life sciences, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3+ years of materials-management, warehouse, inventory, receiving, purchasing-support, or production-planning experience in regulated manufacturing environments.
• 1+ year of lead or supervisory experience, including assigning work, training employees, and resolving daily operational issues.
• Knowledge of GMP material controls, inventory traceability, labeling, segregation, storage, investigations, and documentation practices.
• Experience using ERP, MRP, inventory, barcode, or warehouse-management systems.
• Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets and routine inventory reconciliation and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and practical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work on-site and actively participate in daily materials operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily receiving, inspection, quarantine, sampling coordination, storage, staging, issuance, reconciliation, and disposition of raw materials and components.
• Collaborate with materials personnel to ensure activities are completed safely, accurately, on time, and per approved procedures.
• Monitor material availability against current manufacturing and QC schedules and address shortages, delays, or status conflicts.
• Maintain accurate inventory records including lot numbers, quantities, status, locations, expiration date, reservations, and usage.
• Ensure materials are properly labeled, segregated, stored, and handled according to approved status and storage requirements.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Manufacturing, QC, and QA to handle purchase orders, incoming materials, sampling, testing, release and staging needs.
• Supervise cycle counts and physical inventories; investigate discrepancies and ensure corrections are documented.
• Support investigations, deviations, CAPAs, and change controls related to materials-management activities.
• Maintain materials-related SOPs, work instructions, forms, logs, training records, and inspection-ready documentation.
• Train and supervise materials personnel, assign daily work, provide technical guidance, and ensure backup coverage.
• Monitor storage areas for organization, cleanliness, safety, temperature requirements, expired materials, and capacity.
• Support internal and customer audits, regulatory inspections, and continuous improvement of workflows.

Yowei Therapeutics and Yowei Oncology are stealth-stage life-sciences companies working closely with CSBio to advance peptide-based clinical programs. Their work spans longevity and peptide therapeutics, clinical trials, evaluation of a 503A pharmacy model, personalized synthetic neoantigen peptide oncology programs, and supporting microbiology and laboratory capabilities. Together, they are building the clinical, pharmacy, data, laboratory, and operational infrastructure needed to responsibly translate peptide programs into patient-facing studies and services. Both companies expect to remain in stealth through Q1 2027.

CSBio is a peptide contract manufacturing founded in 1993. CSBio initial products were a complete line of automated synthesizers for manufacturing and process development, with a focus on cGMP production. In 1994, CSBio opened a custom peptide facility and began producing high quality compounds for research organizations and pharmaceutical companies worldwide. In 2004, CSBio opened a peptide production facility in Menlo Park, CA and in 2014, CSBio expanded production capability through the addition of a new, state of the art building dedicated to cGMP peptide production. In 2017, CSBio passed a FDA inspection and were recommended to be approved for commercial drug substance manufacturing. In 2023, additional cGMP clinical production capacity was added in Milpitas, CA.
