Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Plainfield, IN seeks a Supply Chain Operations Specialist II to provide essential operational support, data reporting, and carrier coordination within a fast-paced environment.

You will manage customer profiles, track shipments, assist with invoices and operational reports, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely, accurate service.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Five years of office experience in a logistics/transportation environment.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet, and job-specific software applications.
  • Uses databases and systems to review and verify documentation and information.
  • Ability to prepare basic reports, queries, and operational information.
  • Ability to track and trace basic shipments or product.
  • Understanding of providers, carriers and services in related supply chain environments.
  • Ability to communicate potential concerns or delays.
  • Operates in a fast-paced and changing environment, both in a team and as an individual contributor.

Responsibilities

  • Develop working relationships with internal and external customers; assist with account management and service needs.
  • Answer questions regarding shipments, billing, status, and services; escalate as needed.
  • Interface with airlines, shipping lines, trucks and related carriers to track shipments and understand requirements.
  • Manage various documents for accuracy; maintain knowledge of customers, carriers, and procedures.
  • Update operational data in software systems and communicate potential concerns to resolve.
  • Locate and verify information using databases and logs.
  • Track orders and shipments and assist with tracing as needed.
  • Create and process invoices and review for operational accuracy.
  • Assist with running and summarizing operational reports; present information as needed.

YOUR ROLE

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
  • Develop working relationships with internal and external customers,assistwith account management such asmaintainingcustomer profiles,detailsand service needs.
  • Address various internal and external customer questions and concernsregardingshipments, billing, status, services, carriers, and other needs; forward complex or escalated customer needs asappropriate.
  • Interface with airlines, shipping,truckand related carriers to understand requirements, trackshipmentsor details; operations are typically standard to complex.
  • Manage various documents foraccuracy;requires operational knowledge of customers, carriers, and procedures.
  • Update various operational/customer data in software systems and applications, work toidentifymissing or potential operational or serviceconcernsand communicate withappropriate groupsas necessary to resolve.
  • Utilize databases, logs, and other sources tolocateand verify information; information is usually operational in nature, standard to complex.
  • Track orders and shipments andassistwith tracing as needed; usually more standard,regionalor domestic operations.
  • Create andprocessesinvoices, reviews for operational accuracy, andworkswith customers on questions and payment.
  • Assistwith running and summarizing operational reports and details; present information to co-workers or supervisorsareneeded.
  • Assistwith preparing informationrequiredfor quotes or address potentialservices;may provide more standard to complex quotes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures andmaintaina safe and effective work environment;assistothers with understanding operational items.
WHATARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  • Education and Experience: High School graduate or GED.
  • Fiveyears of office experience ina logistics/transportation environment.
  • Skills: Basicto Intermediateproficiencyin Microsoft Office, Internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
  • Utilizes databases and systems to review and verify documentation and information.
  • Ability to prepare basic reports, queries, and operational information.
