Supply Chain Manager - LV Battery and Power Supply Purchasing

We are the movers of the world and the makers of the future. We get up every day, roll up our sleeves and build a better world -- together. At Ford, we’re all a part of something bigger than ourselves. Are you ready to change the way the world moves?

In this position

Ford Motor Company is seeking a seasoned and strategic Low Voltage Battery & Power Supply Manager to lead the development, implementation, and operational excellence of low-voltage (e.g., 48V and below) battery systems and associated power supply architecture for our ICE, HEV and EV vehicle programs. This role is based in Dearborn, Michigan, and contributes directly to Ford Blue and Model e vehicle strategies, ensuring that our commodities deliver exceptional performance, reliability, safety, cost-effectiveness, and integration across vehicle platforms.

In this leadership role, you will be responsible for end-to-end supply chain strategy, sourcing, planning, supplier relationships, operational execution, and ongoing lifecycle support for low-voltage battery and power supply subsystems. You will collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain and program teams to ensure each commodity group deliver a resilient, cost effective, and innovative supply network.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in battery systems, power supply systems, or automotive electrical architecture.
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience leading a team of procurement professionals and proven ability to manage supplier relationships and execute complex negotiations.
  • Experience with Ford internal systems, supply chain planning tools, and data analytics.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with ability to work effectively across functions and supplier networks.
  • Willingness to travel domestically (and limited internationally) to supplier sites, manufacturing locations and vehicle program launches as needed.
Even better, you may have
  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
  • Prior experience in automotive electrification programs, especially low-voltage or power supply systems for EVs or hybrids.
  • Understanding of next generation battery chemistries for low-voltage applications (e.g., lithium-ion, sodium-ion) and trending architectures.
  • Knowledge of Ford’s internal systems and tools (e.g., FEDE release system, Teamcenter, JAMA, WERS) or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Experience with global supplier base and multicultural teams.

You may not check every box, or your experience may a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!

Benefits
  • Immediate medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage
  • Flexible family care days, paid parental leave, new parent ramp‑up programs, subsidized back‑up child care and more
  • Family building benefits including adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, fertility treatments, and more
  • Vehicle discount program for employees and family members and management leases
  • Tuition assistance
  • Established and active employee resource groups
  • Paid time off for individual and team community service
  • A generous schedule of paid holidays, including the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day
  • Paid time off and the option to purchase additional vacation time.
