We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

An ideal candidate has a background in supply chain operations and excellent data driven problem-resolution skills. Candidates will place purchase orders, manage a ticket queue and ensure timely PO closure and invoice payment. Candidates will work collaboratively across teams to perform in-depth analyses and troubleshoot issues in a variety of subject areas. This job will require exceptional communication skills while having the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

Key job responsibilities: AWS Supply Chain Managers are responsible for tracking the status of Purchase Requisitions to Purchase Order using internal tools and processes. Manage, analyze, and reconcile purchase orders internally and externally. Work with vendors and Procurement to coordinate purchase order changes and approvals. Monitor and coordinate purchase order issuance and cancellations. Track recurring issues that arise in the Purchase Requisition to Purchase Order creation process and proactively recommend solutions to improve the process. Present the performance and metrics associated with the Purchase Requisition to Purchase Order processes.

Key Responsibilities / Daily Activities Include
  • Manage a ticket queue
  • Issue POs and manage timely payment
  • Material/Inventory Planning
  • Supply/Demand planning and Forecasting
  • Maintaining continuity of supply (COS)
  • Communicating supply status, risks/mitigations to internal stakeholders and leadership
