Job summary

Heron Power is a startup building advanced power electronics for the modern grid. You will lead strategic sourcing for critical components, partnering with finance, design engineering, NPI and manufacturing to build a resilient supply base.

You will manage supplier performance, cost targets, and risk, ensuring commercial success of the supply chain as the company scales production of converters and related assemblies.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in sourcing or procurement for high volume manufacturing.
  • Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Deep knowledge across mechanical, electrical (PCB/PCBA), and electro-mechanical components.
  • Strong negotiation and contract-management skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional workstreams with engineering, operations, finance, legal and NPI teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally on short notice.

  • Define and own category strategies for key components and assemblies.
  • Achieve cost targets through should-cost modeling and market analysis; negotiate.
  • Lead RFx processes and negotiate agreements, including tooling/NRE and terms.
  • Manage risk from capacity, geopolitics, logistics, and roadmaps with engineering.
  • Drive supplier readiness from prototype to mass production.
  • Develop and execute logistics and warehousing with factory operations.
  • Escalate supply, cost, or quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Job Overvie

wAs a Supply Chain Managerr, you’ll lead strategic sourcing for the critical components and assemblies that power Heron Link. In this pivotal role, you’ll partner closely with the Head of Supply Chain and leaders across Finance, Design Engineering, NPI and Manufacturing to build a resilient supply base. You will ensure the commercial success of Heron’s supply chain, overseeing product cost and supplier performance
