Job description

Supply Chain Manager
The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to build and lead supply chain operations for a fast-paced, digitally integrated manufacturing environment. This is a highly visible opportunity for a supply chain leader who combines strategic thinking with hands‑on execution and enjoys building scalable operations from the ground up.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in manufacturing supply chain management, supplier strategy, procurement, inventory management, and materials planning, along with experience developing processes and systems capable of supporting rapidly changing production requirements.

You will connect people, processes, suppliers, and technology to support a high-mix, quick‑turn manufacturing operation where short lead times, material availability, and responsiveness are critical. This role will have the opportunity to establish key supplier partnerships, implement digitally connected supply chain systems, and develop inventory and replenishment strategies designed to support aggressive production and fulfillment targets.

What You'll Do
  • Lead end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, materials planning, inventory management, supplier performance, and plant logistics.
  • Design and implement scalable supply chain processes and digital systems that connect procurement, planning, inventory, and manufacturing operations.
  • Develop supplier strategies, support supplier selection, and contribute to commercial negotiations and agreements that balance cost, quality, lead times, and flexibility.
  • Establish inventory and materials‑management strategies, including stocking models, automated replenishment, kitting, and efficient material flow.
  • Build and lead the supply chain function, establishing team capabilities, operating processes, performance metrics, and continuous‑improvement practices.
  • Partner closely with engineering, IT, centralized supply chain, and manufacturing teams to integrate ERP/MRP, production‑planning, and digital manufacturing systems.
  • Drive supply chain improvements that support high‑mix, quick‑turn manufacturing, changing customer requirements, and reliable material availability.
  • Develop practical solutions to complex supply chain challenges while balancing immediate production requirements with longer‑term operational strategy.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive supply chain experience in manufacturing, including procurement, inventory management, and materials planning.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, or improving end‑to‑end supply chain operations and scalable manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, digital supply chain integration, automated procurement, and inventory‑management technologies.
  • Experience with supplier onboarding, strategic sourcing, commercial negotiations, and supplier relationship management.
  • Strong understanding of high‑mix manufacturing, inventory optimization, material flow, and supply chain risk management.
  • Ability to translate operational requirements into practical strategies, processes, and systems while collaborating effectively across functions.
  • Experience leading teams, influencing stakeholders, and balancing strategic planning with hands‑on execution.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within wire harness, cable assembly, electrical, electromechanical, or similar manufacturing environments.
  • Experience establishing supply chain operations for new manufacturing facilities, new product introductions, or rapidly scaling production environments.
  • Experience integrating ERP/MRP, MES, and supplier‑management platforms to support automated, data‑driven operations.
  • Familiarity with vendor‑managed inventory, consignment programs, automated replenishment, and other flexible inventory models.
Compensation

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $106,000-$159,000 per year.

Actual compensation may vary based on factors including relevant experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location. The position may also be eligible for additional incentive compensation and/or long-term incentives.

A comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement benefits, paid time off, and other employee benefits.

Why This Role Stands Out

This is an opportunity to do more than manage an established supply chain. You will have the chance to build and shape the function, establish critical supplier relationships, introduce scalable processes and technology, and create the supply chain infrastructure needed to support a rapidly evolving manufacturing operation.

For a supply chain leader who enjoys combining strategy, technology, supplier development, operational problem‑solving, and hands‑on execution, this role offers the opportunity to make a measurable impact on how products move from customer demand through production and fulfillment.
