Ridgemont Resources, Inc. electronics manufacturer in Maryland is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to oversee inventory, purchasing, and supplier relations across multiple sites.

The role focuses on optimizing material flow, reducing waste, and driving on-time production. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in contract manufacturing, strong leadership capabilities, and extensive experience with forecasting, budgeting, and procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of directly related experience in contract manufacturing industry. Electronics manufacturing experience a plus.
• Must have prior supervisory experience & strong people management skills.
• Must have significant experience with inventory control, logistics, materials requirement planning, supply chains, contract negotiations, and purchasing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of Buyers, Engineering Production Services, Quoting Specialist and Proposal Administrator.
• Set goals/metrics for the team and monitor progress.
• Maintain inventory levels for on-time production while minimizing on-hand inventory.
• Increase inventory turns.
• Pursue new suppliers and processes to improve quality, price, reliability, and delivery.
• Provide data/metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Stay current on industry trends and alert team to issues.
• Manage GIDEP (Government-Industry Data Exchange Program).
• Manage supplier relationships, lead negotiations, track quality, price, delivery.
• Improve shipping/receiving/inventory control to reduce waste and increase throughput.
• Coordinate with Program Managers on planning and forecasting orders.
• Ensure company procedures are followed for all materials and functions.
• Other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for management of inventory and purchasing procedures, determining supply needs, purchase supplies and materials according to specifications and supervise receiving procedures across multiple manufacturing sites. Manage and ensure collaboration among staff focused on purchasing, materials management and configuration management.

• Continually drive for increased inventory turns.
• Continue programs of exploration for new suppliers and processes to achieve the optimum quality, reliability, prices, continuity, and delivery.
• Provide management team with accurate and relevant data/metrics to drive continuous improvement and decision making.
• Remain current on industry trends, notifying relevant team members of potential issues/changes.
• Manage the Government-Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP).
• Manage supplier relationships, lead negotiations, and track quality, price and delivery metrics.
• Modify processes and procedures for shipping, receiving, transport, and inventory control to reduce waste and increase throughput.
• Interface with Program Managers on the planning and forecasting of customer orders to meet shipments.
• Ensure that company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all materials and department functions.
