Job summary

Janta Power Inc is seeking a senior supply chain leader to build and execute the manufacturing and sourcing strategy for a groundbreaking solar platform. You will partner with engineering, product, sales, and field services to scale deployment in the U.S.

and globally, delivering a safe, reliable, and cost-effective supply chain. This role emphasizes total landed cost, supplier development, tariff navigation, and end-to-end operations including quality management, logistics, and inventory

Qualifications

• 10+ years of demonstrated success delivering measurable supply chain results.
• Experience sourcing steel fabrications and global suppliers, including tariff navigation.
• Technically oriented (engineering degree or equivalent) with operational excellence mindset (lean, six sigma, continuous improvement).
• Passion for innovation, problem‑solving, and clean energy technology.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality product to install sites safely, on time, and at the lowest possible landed cost.
• Partner with Engineering and Product teams to understand current and future designs; provide input on design for manufacturing/logistics.
• Partner with Field Services to understand receiving, installation, and maintenance requirements.
• Collaborate with Sales to balance irregular demand with supply chain resilience and optimized working capital.
• Build sourcing strategies across categories: custom steel fabrications, electro-mechanical drives, control systems, solar modules, inverters, foundation components, wiring, cables, and fasteners.
• Manage supplier selection, negotiation, and relationships—including global sourcing, tariffs, and tariff engineering.
• Oversee quality and logistics (not as a deep expert, but as a competent owner).
• Own and continuously refine Janta’s “total landed cost” model, with a plan for evolution toward best-in-class practices.

Role Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Janta Power at a pivotal moment in our growth. You will be directly responsible for ensuring our technology moves from design to deployment—safely, efficiently, and at scale. You’ll partner with product, engineering, sales, and field services while building the supply chain and sourcing strategies that will power the future. You’ll be responsible for building the supply chain that enables the commercialization of a fundamentally new solar platform. 30/60/90/180-Day Success Plan:

First 30 Days – Learn & Assess

• Gain deep knowledge of Janta’s product design, bill of materials, and sourcing categories
• Shadow field service teams to understand installation, logistics, and service requirements
• Build relationships with engineering, sales, and operations leadership
• Document current supply chain processes, supplier base, and cost models

First 60 Days – Stabilize & Build Foundations

• Identify and secure relationships with “best‑fit” suppliers for top sourcing groups (steel, drives, controls)
• Establish initial quality and logistics processes, aligned with operational safety and reliability standards
• Present baseline “total landed cost” assessment with gaps and risks highlighted
• Implement quick wins to improve lead time, quality, or cost on critical components

First 90 Days – Execute & Deliver Early Wins

• Launch sourcing initiatives across at least 2 major categories
• Negotiate improved terms with suppliers (pricing, lead times, quality agreements)
• Deliver measurable improvements in cost, lead time, or reliability
• Implement robust supply chain strategy across all categories
• Establish scalable processes for quality management, logistics, and inventory planning
• Deliver cost reduction initiatives with measurable financial impact
• Position Janta’s supply chain as a strategic enabler for scaling deployment across the U.S. and globally
