JOB TITLE: Supply Chain ManagerDEPARTMENT: OperationsREPORTS TO: Operation ManagerCLASSIFICATION: ExemptPurpose and ScopeThe Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all supply chain functions including warehouse operations, purchasing and procurement, and inventory management. This role ensures the efficient and cost-effective flow of materials from suppliers to the production floor, supporting on-time delivery and operational excellence across a 100+ person manufacturing environment. The Supply Chain Manager leads a team of warehouse and purchasing personnel and works cross-functionally with production, engineering, and finance to align supply chain activities with company goals.Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse OperationsOversee all warehouse functions including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of materials and finished goodsEnsure accurate and timely processing of inbound and outbound shipments in accordance with production schedulesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with safety standards and regulationsDevelop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse activitiesManage warehouse staffing, scheduling, and performance, including hiring, training, and coaching warehouse personnelOversee the operation and maintenance of warehouse equipment including forklifts and material handling systemsMonitor and report on key warehouse metrics such as receiving accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and dock-to-stock timePurchasing & ProcurementLead the procurement of raw materials, components, and indirect supplies required for manufacturing operationsDevelop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiating favorable pricing, lead times, and termsEvaluate and qualify new vendors, conducting supplier assessments to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance standards are metIssue and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery in alignment with production needsMonitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing discrepanciesIdentify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier consolidationCollaborate with engineering and production teams to support new product introductions and material change requirementsMaintain up-to-date vendor records, pricing agreements, and procurement documentationInventory ManagementOversee inventory control processes to ensure accurate tracking of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goodsEstablish and maintain appropriate inventory levels and reorder points to prevent shortages and minimize excess stockLead cycle count programs and annual physical inventory audits; investigate and resolve discrepanciesAnalyze inventory data and trends to identify areas for reduction, improved turns, and increased efficiencyPartner with production and planning teams to align inventory positions with current and forecasted demandImplement and maintain inventory management systems and ensure data integrity within the ERP/MRP platformManage disposition of obsolete or slow-moving inventory in coordination with finance and operations leadershipLeadership & Cross-Functional CollaborationLead, develop, and hold accountable a team of warehouse operators, buyers, and inventory personnelSet clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews for direct reportsCollaborate with production, engineering, quality, and finance to support operational goals and resolve supply chain issuesProvide regular reporting to leadership on supply chain KPIs, cost performance, and risk factorsDrive continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain functions using data and industry best practicesQualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field — or equivalent experience5+ years of supply chain, purchasing, or operations experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership roleExperience in a manufacturing environment requiredProficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Epicor, or similar)Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and negotiation skillsPreferred:APICS CSCP or CPIM certificationExperience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologiesFamiliarity with import/export regulations and freight logisticsPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentThis position works primarily in an office setting with regular presence on the production floor and in the warehouse. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally. Exposure to a manufacturing environment including moderate noise levels is expected.
