Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA seeks a Supply Chain Lead to drive strategic supply network development and cost management for the Maneuver Dominance product portfolio across lifecycles.

You will partner with suppliers, engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to optimize BOMs, manage CAPEX for NPI, and converge cost to achieve total cost of ownership targets while maintaining security clearances and working within a fast-paced startup-like environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or advanced technical degree in mechanical engineering.
• Experience in electronics and/or mechanical device design & development.
• Advanced sourcing and supplier management experience.
• Early supplier engagement before requirements realization.
• Experience with high-tech products in high-mix, low-volume environment.
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. security clearance.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Within the Maneuver Dominance team, we are growing an early-stage, undisclosed autonomous air vehicle (AAV) program at our Costa Mesa HQ. This team is chartered with re‑inventing an existing platform through heavy modification and integration of advanced autonomy, mission systems, and payloads. On this team, you will be tackling novel challenges across airframe, structures, avionics, and software from day one. As part of this program, you'll work alongside a tight‑knit group of mechanical, structural, electrical, and software engineers, together with Program Leads and the Chief Engineer, all embedded in a single team driving toward major milestones.

You will work in a lean, high‑ownership culture where the entire vehicle team sits side‑by‑side, iterating quickly and making decisions in real time. Given the early stage of the program, you will have influence over foundational architecture decisions and the opportunity to redefine an existing platform.

ABOUT THE JOB

Anduril is seeking a Supply Chain Lead to join the Maneuver Dominance team. The Supply Chain Lead drives the strategic supply network development and cost management of the Maneuver Dominance product portfolio across their lifecycles, by collaborating with suppliers and cross‑functionally, including folks in engineering, quality, and manufacturing.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Conduct supplier selection for a specific product, leveraging our approved supplier list
• Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development via activities such as:
• Concept scoping to quickly solidify requirements
• Feature trade‑off / trade tables
• Should cost / Clean sheet models
• Joint design development, via clear statements of work
• Simulation of mechanical & electronics designs
• Drive the development and consolidation of a manufacturing BOM, working with Quality & Manufacturing, to ramp production internally and with our suppliers with high flexibility
• Manage the CAPEX throughout NPI
• Conduct value‑stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility
• Complete the BOM risk assessment, include alternate component sourcing, etc.
• Ensure completion of all component qualifications, ahead of production
• Reduce complexity: commonality optimization & component/supplier rationalization
• Lead all cost engineering activities to converge the bottoms‑up cost curve to product cost, maximizing the total cost of ownership (TCO) across the product lifecycle
• Manage ad‑hoc cost issues e.g., tariffs / import export cost, and cost inflation

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree or advanced technical degree in mechanical engineering
• Deeper experience within:
• Design & development of electronics and/or mechanical devices
• Advanced sourcing activities, including stints as commodity/sourcing managers
• Early supplier engagement, ahead of product/engineering requirement realization
• Familiarity with developing high‑tech products in a high‑mix, low‑volume environment
• Exposure to working in a fast‑pace, start‑up environment
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. security clearance

US Salary Range

$132,000 - $198,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
