Woodward offers a Supply Chain Internship designed for students pursuing a Supply Chain major. You will gain hands-on exposure to inventory management, data analysis, supplier coordination, and procurement activities within the Aerospace and Energy industries.

This internship provides the opportunity for potential full-time employment and a comprehensive Total Reward package, with pay scaled by academic level (Sophomore to Senior) and benefits for part-time students working 20+ hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be a sophomore in an accredited college or university with GPA 3.0+.
• No prior internship required; ITAR/EAR compliance applies to applicants.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Inventory Management: monitor and maintain optimal stock levels.
• Data Analysis: analyze trends and forecast demand for better stock accuracy.

The purpose of an internship at Woodward is to provide students with the opportunity to gain exposure and "real life" business acumen within the Aerospace and Energy Industry. Our internships also provide students with the opportunity to learn and gain practical experience and to work in areas related to their academic and/or career interests. What you will be doing

• Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring and maintaining optimal inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock and carrying costs.

• Data Analysis: Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and provide actionable insights to improve stock accuracy and operational efficiency.

• Supplier Management: Support in building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers by tracking performance metrics, resolving issues, and ensuring timely delivery of materials.

• Procurement Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contracts in alignment with company goals and budget.

• Process Improvement: Participate in reviewing supply chain operations and propose enhancements to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.

What We Are Looking For

• Competent in the use of PCs, MS Office Programs and other associated software.

Education or Formal Training

Must be at least a sophomore in an accredited College or University program and have an acceptable grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Experience Required

No experience required. Previous internship or other working experience, a plus.
