Job summary

Raymond West is seeking a detail-oriented Supply Chain Freight Coordinator to join our team. This entry-level role involves coordinating third-party transportation to installation sites, reviewing bills of lading, and maintaining shipment records with close adherence to procedures.

You will support daily logistics tasks, communicate with carriers, and help optimize transport timelines. A high school diploma and some related experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Dispatch experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide truck schedules for daily deliveries and pickups.
• Create Bills of Lading, Delivery & Pickup receipts.
• Maintain records of shipments, handling processes, and inventory levels.
• Maintain upkeep of PO submission and supporting documents.
• Communicate with carriers and manage delivery times.
• Coordinate with Project Managers if delays occur and propose alternatives.
• Run department reports.
• Assist with various projects as needed.

Job description

Raymond West is looking for a detail-oriented Supply Chain Freight Coordinator to join our team! The Supply Chain Freight Coordinator is an entry-level position where some developed knowledge and skills have been identified, typically through formal training or considerable work experience. The Supply Chain Freight Coordinator acquires basic skills to perform routine tasks. Work is prescribed and completed with little autonomy and is performed either under close supervision or according to clearly defined procedures. The Supply Chain Freight Coordinator will coordinate the transportation of the 3rd party materials to installation sites, providing secure, safe, and reliable transportation. Evaluates load dimensions, if necessary, and the weight of trucks for delivery, helping to facilitate maximizing trailer and carton cube utilization. Reviews bills of lading for product and ensures freight costs are applied and entered. Confirms proper documentation is obtained and maintained.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Provide RW personnel with truck schedules for daily deliveries and pickups.
• Create Bills of Lading, Delivery & Pickup receipts.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, handling processes, and inventory levels.
• Maintain upkeep of PO submission and supporting documents.
• Communicate with carriers and manage the delivery time
• Contact Project Managers if transportation delays may result and present alternate solutions if necessary.
• Run department reports
• Assist and complete various projects as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and similar software
• Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with employees, Coworkers, and Managers in other departments.
• Must be willing to work off-hours as specific needs dictate and willing to assume more responsibility as required.
• Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and a safe manner.

Education/Experience

Minimum Education and Experience: Determined by position

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous dispatch experience is a plus.

Travel Requirement

• Occasional travel may be required, estimated at less than 5% per month, based on business needs.
• Must be able to be insured by Raymond West.

Pay Range

• The hourly range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00. The specific pay offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location.

Qualified candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
