JOB TITLE:

Supply Chain Distribution Technician

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Supply Chain Distribution Technician is responsible for the efficient distribution of supplies and equipment across the organization and off-site clinics. This role ensures accurate receiving, storage, inventory maintenance, and timely delivery of supplies to support clinical and operational needs while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Essential Functions
Build Trust:
  • Receive and verify incoming supplies and equipment for accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, orders, and deliveries.
  • Follow all regulatory and safety requirements related to handling and distribution of medical supplies.
  • Ensure supplies are stored in accordance with established safety protocols.
Obsess Over Excellence:
  • Stock and organize inventory in a clean, orderly, and efficient manner.
  • Process supply orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist with outdate management and proper stock rotation.
  • Maintain high attention to detail in inventory control and supply handling.
Lead Innovation:
  • Adapt to changing priorities and organizational needs in a dynamic environment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve supply distribution processes and efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts within the supply chain function.
Deepen Connections:
  • Communicate effectively with clinical staff to identify and meet supply needs.
  • Deliver supplies and equipment to departments in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform courier services between facilities and clinics as needed.
  • Collect and sort mail to support organizational operations.
Qualifications
Required Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Experience
  • Six (6) months of healthcare supply chain experience
Skills
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to follow and communicate written and verbal instructions
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology
  • Understanding of product information, surgical instrumentation, and OR procedures (preferred)
  • Basic analytical skills to support understanding of clinical and operational needs
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure
Work Environment
  • Frequent exposure to unpleasant odors, temperature variations, dust, and high noise levels
  • Exposure to potential hazards including strains, cuts, and bruises related to handling and transporting supplies
  • Work occurs in warehouse, storage, and clinical support areas
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift and transport materials weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to move and maneuver heavy carts
  • Ability to reach and stock shelves up to six feet high
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • May require travel between facility locations
