The position develops and executes supply chain strategies that support production requirements, customer commitments, cost objectives, inventory performance, and organizational growth. The Supply Chain Director establishes performance expectations, operating controls, budgets, policies, and procedures while ensuring critical materials, components, tooling, and services are available when needed to support reconditioning operations.

This role uses forecasting, operational data, supplier performance, production schedules, inventory trends, and key performance indicators to anticipate requirements, identify constraints, improve material flow, and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.

The Supply Chain Director negotiates with suppliers, develops strategic vendor relationships, manages supply risk, and works closely with Operations, Sales, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and executive leadership to ensure supply chain activities align with company priorities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Direct the overall Supply Chain function, including purchasing, procurement, material planning, scheduling, inventory control, warehousing, shipping and receiving, tool crib operations, and finished-goods distribution.
  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with production plans, financial objectives, customer requirements, and organizational growth.
  • Translate production forecasts and sales requirements into material, inventory, supplier, staffing, and logistics plans.
  • Establish and monitor key supply chain performance metrics, including inventory accuracy, material availability, supplier performance, purchase-price variance, schedule attainment, shortages, freight, and inventory turns.
  • Lead inventory and working-capital strategies that ensure material availability while controlling inventory levels and excess stock.
  • Develop sourcing strategies and lead the evaluation, selection, negotiation, and performance management of suppliers.
  • Identify and mitigate supplier, material, logistics, capacity, and other supply chain risks that could affect production or customer commitments.
  • Direct production scheduling, material planning, and material-flow activities to support production targets and reduce shortages or constraints.
  • Oversee warehouse, shipping, receiving, material staging, tool crib, and finished-equipment distribution activities.
  • Develop and manage the Supply Chain department budget, spending controls, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, Engineering, Quality, and Sales to align supply chain decisions with production, cost, quality, customer, and business requirements.
  • Establish Supply Chain policies, procedures, internal controls, systems, and continuous-improvement priorities.
  • Lead, develop, and hold accountable Supply Chain managers, supervisors, group leads, professional staff, and hourly employees, including staffing, performance, training, and succession planning.
  • Provide executive leadership with regular supply chain performance reporting, forecasts, risks, constraints, and recommendations.
