Job summary

Arizona Public Service Company is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Digital Solutions Analyst to coordinate and optimize supply chain business systems, analytics, and automation. You will design and support dashboards, reports, data models, and AI-enabled tools, partnering with IT and business teams to implement practical, scalable solutions.

You will lead or contribute to projects, perform requirements gathering, testing, and rollout support, and develop training materials to drive adoption.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA equivalency or four years relevant work experience.
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience with database design, structure, functions and processes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business processes and operational knowledge including functions, procedures, processes, and computer systems.
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and tie functional needs to technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated project or team experience and ability to prioritize work.

Summary

The Supply Chain Digital Solutions Analyst (Business Systems Analyst, Sr.) provides coordination, analysis, support, and maintenance to ensure the effective functioning of Supply Chain business systems, analytics, reporting, digital workspaces, automation, and related technology solutions. This role functions as an embedded business developer within Supply Chain by combining business process knowledge with technical implementation to support practical, sustainable solutions that advance business priorities.

  • Designs, builds, maintains, documents, tests, and supports analytics solutions, workflow tools, automations, and approved AI-enabled solutions that improve efficiency, consistency, and user experience.
  • Serves as a Supply Chain analytical and systems resource for multiple business areas, including reporting, dashboards, data quality, data governance, system security, internal web pages, SharePoint resources, automation, and AI-enabled tools.
  • Partners with Supply Chain teams, Information Technology, Enterprise AI, Digital Transformation, vendors, and business partners to identify, plan, and implement technology-enabled solutions.
  • Supports modernization and standardization of the Supply Chain digital workspace through improved user experiences, content governance, self‑service resources, onboarding materials, and digital tool adoption.
  • Supports a scalable and governed framework for AI and automation by assisting with intake, evaluation, documentation, testing, adoption, and ongoing support of approved opportunities.
  • Develops reports, dashboards, analytics products, statistical summaries, training materials, and user resources while maintaining standardized reporting protocols, metric definitions, data governance practices, and documentation to support data integrity and consistency.
  • Educates Supply Chain users on approved digital tools, automation capabilities, data‑driven practices, reporting resources, and responsible AI use.
  • BS/BA equivalency or an equivalent combination of four years relevant work experience and relevant college coursework in business, information technology or a related area.
  • An additional five (5) years of progressively responsible experience where strong understanding of database design, structure, functions and processes and experience with database tools is obtained.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business processes and operational knowledge including functions, procedures, processes, and computer systems.
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and tie functional needs to technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated project/team experience and ability to prioritize work.
  • Strong analytical ability to review data, see relationships and patterns as well as communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Experience in managing projects and identifying and resolving issues.
  • Requires proficient knowledge of emerging practices and technologies used within the area.
Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications
  • Significant hands‑on experience and demonstrated expertise designing, building, maintaining, and enhancing Power BI dashboards, reports, data models, measures, visuals, and analytics products that support operational visibility, performance monitoring, and business decision‑making.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365, Copilot, Copilot agents, Power Automate, SQL, Azure Data Warehouse, and other database, automation, or reporting platforms.
  • Extensive experience working with complex data sets, database structures, data models, queries, reporting logic, data validation, and data quality analysis to support accurate, consistent, and actionable business reporting.
  • Experience serving as a liaison between business teams and Information Technology to translate business needs into system, reporting, automation, and data requirements.
  • Experience supporting data governance practices, including data definitions, data quality standards, metric consistency, reporting protocols, documentation, validation practices, and consistent use of data across business processes.
  • Experience identifying and implementing opportunities to automate manual processes, improving reporting efficiency, streamlining workflows, and supporting adoption of approved digital tools.
  • Experience developing user‑facing resources, training materials, job aids, demonstrations, or office hour content to help business users adopt digital tools, automation, reporting resources, and data‑driven practices effectively.
Major Accountabilities

1. Business process and systems analysis: Participates in or leads projects to define business processes, system scope, data needs, automation opportunities, and objectives through research, fact‑finding, and a strong understanding of business functions, systems, and industry requirements.

2. Embedded business development and digital tool support: Analyzes, recommends, develops, maintains, and enhances business systems, reports, dashboards, digital workspaces, SharePoint resources, workflow tools, automations, and approved AI-enabled tools. Applies business process knowledge and technical platform capabilities to build practical, sustainable solutions for Supply Chain users.

3. Requirements, testing, and rollout support: Gathers functional requirements, data requirements, policy and procedure interpretation, and future business system needs. Supports upgrades, patches, fixes, new implementations, automation deployments, AI-enabled solutions, workflow tools, and digital tool rollouts through testing, process and system documentation, communication, end‑user training, and rollout support.

4. Process improvement and automation: Analyzes work process design, workflow, reporting needs, data quality, and technology solutions to streamline, automate, standardize, and improve business processes through sustainable, well‑documented business‑developed solutions.

5. Issue resolution and partner coordination: Researches, analyzes, and resolves routine to complex business and operational issues related to systems, reporting, data, automation, and digital tools. Partners with Information Technology, Enterprise AI, Digital Transformation, vendors, and business stakeholders to resolve issues and sustain reliable operations.

6. Reporting, analytics, and data governance: Develops, maintains, and supports reports, dashboards, queries, data models, measures, and analytics products using appropriate reporting tools. Develops standard and complex reports for customers and maintains standardized reporting protocols, metric definitions, validation practices, data quality expectations, and data governance practices to ensure data integrity and consistency.

7. Project coordination and adoption support: Participates in project assignments as a project lead or key team member. Coordinates activities within functional business areas, including business needs analysis, scope definition, data mapping, testing strategy, change impact assessment, rollout, user acceptance, adoption support, and post‑implementation review.

8. Documentation and knowledge management: Maintains documentation of system changes, business processes, reporting logic, automation design, data definitions, AI and automation intake records, testing results, ownership expectations, support models, guidelines, procedures, tools, and training aids needed to support the business unit.

9. Training and digital fluency: Supports application, system, analytics, automation, AI, and digital tool training for functional users. Develops training materials, job aids, demonstrations, office hour content, onboarding resources, and knowledge‑sharing materials to increase digital fluency and adoption across Supply Chain.

10. Emerging technology and continuous improvement: Actively seeks knowledge of the business and technical environment, priorities, procedures, processes, emerging digital tools, responsible AI practices, automation capabilities, data governance expectations, and reporting needs. Stays informed of current and emerging trends for business unit systems and shares relevant learning with the team and business partners.
