Job summary

Penske Logistics in Warren, MI is seeking a materials follow-up professional responsible for tracking, auditing and troubleshooting issues to ensure on-time supplier shipments. The role requires coordinating with suppliers, communicating critical information, and escalating when delays occur.

The position is onsite with our customer in Warren, MI, typically 3 days onsite with potential for 5 days (Mon-Fri), shift 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of Transportation Management experience preferred, with a focus on shipment coordination
• Ability to learn and regularly operate multiple transportation management and inventory systems
• Verbal & written communication skills, time management, and problem solving skills
• Advanced computer skills including Excel and Outlook
• Experience using MS Office or Google Suite
• Willingness to travel and work the hours/location as required

Job description

This position performs all processes related to material follow up. Provides visibility to management by tracking, processing, auditing, researching and trouble-shooting issues specific to material follow up. Manage material flow from suppliers through to the parts distribution centers. Refers to operational standards and processes to make decisions impacting supplier ship dates and overall customer requirements. Interacts and owns relationship with suppliers on behalf of the customer to ensure parts are shipped on time. Position is based out of Warren Michigan.

This position is located onsite with our customer in Warren, MI. Candidate must be willing to work 3 days onsite with an expectation that there could be a need to work 5 days (M-F) onsite.

Shift:

Monday thru Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Major Responsibilities:

• Advanced computer skills including Excel and Outlook required
• Experience using office tools such as MS Office or Google Suite
• Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions required
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
