Job Description

Supply Chain Coordinator

The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for the daily inventory replenishment for emergency and/or medical surgical units. The role also involves acting as a liaison between Supply Chain and end-users.

Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate supply acquisition and distribution for stock and non-stock items.
  2. Create, organize, and manage supply pars, including par levels and barcode labeling.
  3. Manage non-stock to stock item requests via the ACI process.
  4. Assist in managing and maintaining par forms in Lawson and Mobile Supply Chain systems.
  5. Utilize barcode scanning for supply management.
  6. Coordinate product returns, recalls, and substitutions, ensuring proper credit.
  7. Engage with senior buyers and vendors regarding shipment issues.
  8. Check stock status and back orders.
  9. Verify expiration dates and rotate stock during replenishment.
  10. Manage slow-moving or obsolete supplies.
  11. Report discrepancies and shortages.
  12. Serve as a liaison between clinicians and suppliers.
  13. Resolve receipt discrepancies under supervision.
  14. Verify and deliver incoming supplies.
  15. Handle shipping and receiving activities.
  16. Manage high-value supplies and medical devices, including tracking.
  17. Oversee issuance and maintenance of minor equipment.
  18. Transport pharmaceuticals and reagents properly.
  19. Maintain product knowledge.
  20. Manage product recalls and expired products according to policies.
  21. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  22. Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
  23. Handle bio-hazardous substances safely.
  24. Maintain safety and proper labeling of supply areas.
  25. Coordinate product evaluations and standardizations.
  26. Perform inventory counts and manage inventory levels.
  27. Assist with year-end physical counts.
  28. Identify and recommend removal of obsolete items.
  29. Manage freight shipping and costs.
  30. Minimize expired products through regular checks.
  31. Coordinate exchanges and returns of inventory.
  32. Maintain optimal supply levels.
  33. Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  34. Provide courteous service and anticipate customer needs.
  35. Serve as a liaison between clinicians and suppliers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory, or distribution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
