Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking a Supply Chain Commodity Manager in Livermore, CA for a contract role. You will define and execute strategic sourcing initiatives across critical commodities, architect end-to-end supplier strategies, and drive cost and performance improvements in a global supply chain.

This dynamic position invites collaboration with cross-functional and international teams, leading supplier selection, negotiations, and governance to ensure capacity, quality, and delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in supply chain, sourcing, or commodity management.
• 5+ years of experience negotiating supplier contracts and managing global suppliers.
• 5+ years of experience working with ERP systems such as SAP.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a 3-year commodity strategy aligned with business goals.
• Lead supplier selection, consolidation, and performance management initiatives.
• Drive commercial negotiations to achieve targets for cost, quality, and delivery.
• Partner with internal teams to align supply chain strategies with product and production goals.

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

• 10+ years of experience in supply chain, sourcing, or commodity management
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
• 5+ years of experience working with ERP systems such as SAP
• 5+ years of experience negotiating supplier contracts and managing global suppliers

• Experience in semiconductor equipment or similar high-tech industries
• Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills in complex, matrixed organizations
• Proven ability to operate in high-pressure environments and make decisions with incomplete data
• Excellent presentation skills and ability to influence senior leadership
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with 3+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting

• Hybrid role based in Livermore, CA (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
