Atmos Energy is seeking a data analytics professional to develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations across supplier spend and performance, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.

You will design complex queries, translate data into actionable insights, and collaborate with IT, Finance, Ops, and Supply Chain to drive informed sourcing decisions and governance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MIS/Business Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics or Finance and 3+ years in BI/data analytics.
• Strong mathematical and SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical thinking with ability to perform independent data analysis and complex modeling.
• Advanced proficiency in PowerBI, SQL, Alteryx, Snowflake including dashboard development and data modeling.

Primary Duties

• 1. Develops and maintains dashboards, reports, and visualizations while focusing on data accuracy, accessibility, and consistency in areas such as supplier spend, spend under management, supplier performance and other critical metrics. Contributes to supplier scorecards, service-level performance reviews, and contract compliance tracking efforts.
• 2. Designs, manages, and optimizes complex data queries across multiple data sources. Identifies trends, assesses risk and translates data into operational & financial insights. Partners with Category Managers to deliver key cost drivers and supplier insights that inform sourcing decisions.
• 3. Develops, builds, and supports self-service reporting using Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, Alteryx, SQL, and other analytics platforms. Automates manual reporting processes and develops solutions that inform and expedite key business decisions. Collaborates and communicates with internal stakeholders to design visualizations that are clear and consumable.
• 4. Monitors data quality and availability. Works closely with partners in IT, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain to investigate and resolve issues quickly. Adopts, aligns with, and champions the data governance strategy.
• 5. Provides systems and data support for certain SOX controls in the Supply Chain area.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Educational/Experience Level Bachelor's degree in MIS/Business Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics or Finance, and a minimum of three years experience in business intelligence, data analytics; or equivalent.
• Strong mathematical and SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
• Communication Skills: Requires excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Numeric Skills: Requires strong analytical skills and ability to perform independent analysis using complex data modeling, query creation, and financial analysis methods.
• Computer Skills: Advanced proficiency in PowerBI, SQL, Alteryx, Snowflake including dashboard development, data modeling, DAX, Power Query, query building, and report automation required. Requires advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Experience with enterprise data platforms such as Oracle and Coupa, strongly preferred.
• Physical Demands: Requires performing activities including sitting, standing, using office equipment, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning, and/or lifting.
• Work Conditions: Works in an office environment. May require travel to other offices, including possible overnight travel.
