Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supply Chain Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze supply chain data related to demand, supply, inventory, purchasing, supplier performance, lead times, material availability, and cost
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and KPIs to provide visibility into supply chain performance
  • Identify trends, exceptions, constraints, and emerging supply risks and communicate findings to appropriate stakeholders
  • Perform root-cause analysis on material shortages, excess inventory, supplier delivery issues, and other supply chain disruptions
  • Provide data and analysis to support operational and strategic supply chain decisions
  • Maintain data accuracy across supply chain reports and systems

Materials & Inventory Coordination

  • Monitor material requirements against production schedules, forecasts, purchase orders, and available inventory
  • Identify current and potential material shortages and work with appropriate teams to develop mitigation plans
  • Analyze inventory levels, usage, aging, excess and obsolete inventory, and inventory turns
  • Support inventory optimization initiatives while balancing working-capital objectives with production continuity
  • Assist with cycle-count analysis, inventory reconciliation, and identification of inventory discrepancies
  • Support planning activities for new product introductions, engineering changes, production ramps, and program transitions
  • Track supplier performance, including on-time delivery, lead time, responsiveness, quality trends, and other established supplier KPIs
  • Support buyers and supply chain leadership with supplier analysis, sourcing data, purchase-order reporting, and cost analysis
  • Monitor open purchase orders and supplier commitments and identify potential delivery risks
  • Assist with supplier capacity and constraint analysis
  • Support supplier business reviews by preparing performance data, trends, and supporting documentation
  • Analyze purchase-price variance and other supply chain cost drivers

Planning & Forecasting

  • Support demand, supply, and material planning activities using production schedules, forecasts, BOMs, inventory, and supplier information
  • Analyze forecast changes and determine potential impacts on material requirements and inventory
  • Support scenario analysis for production-volume changes, supplier disruptions, and program changes
  • Assist in developing short- and long-range material requirements
  • Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and related planning processes as applicable

Systems & Data Management

  • Maintain and analyze supply chain data within ERP/MRP and related business systems
  • Support data integrity for items, suppliers, purchase orders, lead times, inventory, and planning parameters
  • Develop and improve analytical tools using Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms
  • Assist with ERP/MRP system implementation, process improvements, testing, and data validation as needed
  • Identify opportunities to automate recurring reports and improve supply chain data visibility.

Cross-Functional Support

  • Partner with Manufacturing to ensure material availability supports production requirements
  • Work with Engineering and Program Management to understand BOM changes, new product introductions, and program timing
  • Coordinate with Quality and Supplier Quality teams regarding supplier-related issues affecting material availability
  • Partner with Finance on inventory, purchasing, forecasting, and cost analysis
  • Participate in shortage reviews, production planning meetings, supplier reviews, and other cross-functional operating meetings

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in supply chain, materials, procurement, production planning, logistics, manufacturing operations, or a related analytical role
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, data analysis, and large datasets
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems
  • Ability to analyze data and clearly communicate findings and recommendations
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Preferred

  • Experience within battery, automotive, energy storage, electronics, advanced manufacturing, or another complex manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar business-intelligence tools
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with Bills of Material (BOMs), production planning, inventory management, procurement, and supplier management
  • Understanding of Lean manufacturing and continuous-improvement principles
  • APICS/ASCM CPIM, CSCP, or related supply chain certification
  • Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) or manufacturing ramp activities
