Supplier Quality Specialist II (Finance)

The Supplier Quality Specialist II ensures supplier products and services meet Elbit Systems' quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role performs routine and moderately complex technical assignments, applies established procedures, and collaborates cross-functionally to resolve standard supplier quality issues. The Specialist leverages working knowledge of quality assurance, supplier management, and relevant regulations to support operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities and Tasks:
  • Has in-depth knowledge in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • Works independently; receives minimal guidance.
  • May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or have accountability for ongoing activities or objectives. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • Perform thorough inspections and quality checks on incoming components, materials, and finished products from suppliers, utilizing appropriate measurement tools, equipment, and inspection techniques.
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to evaluate their quality systems, manufacturing processes, and adherence to industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Review supplier documentation, including certifications, test reports, inspection records, and quality control plans, to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to address non-conformances, deviations, and quality issues, facilitating corrective and preventive actions to drive process improvements and ensure timely resolution.
  • Monitor supplier performance metrics, track quality trends, and identify opportunities for supplier development and improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to provide technical expertise, support supplier selection processes, and assist in supplier qualification activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of supplier evaluations, inspections, audits, and corrective actions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and customers, providing timely and accurate reports, feedback, and updates on supplier quality performance.
  • Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and emerging trends related to supplier quality management in the aerospace industry.
  • Execute supplier quality processes, including qualification, onboarding, audits, and ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Review and analyze supplier quality data, investigate non-conformances, and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Apply established procedures and technical concepts to solve routine supplier quality problems.
  • Support new product introductions by ensuring supplier quality requirements are understood and met.
  • Participate in root cause analysis, risk assessments, and process improvements for supplier-related issues.
  • Communicate quality expectations to suppliers and provide feedback on performance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Assist with training suppliers and internal teams on quality standards and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to drive supplier performance improvements.
Education, Experience, License, or Certification:
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, supply chain, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in supplier quality, quality assurance, or related function (preferably in technology, aerospace, or manufacturing).
  • Working knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001), supplier audits, and corrective action processes.
  • Familiarity with key business drivers and company processes.
