Hyundai Rotem USA in Cerritos, CA, seeks a Supplier Quality Manager to lead supplier quality activities, audits, and continuous improvement across the supply chain. You will manage the supplier quality management system and collaborate with Procurement, Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and related standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 5+ years in supplier quality or supply chain, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in supplier quality, quality engineering, or supply chain management.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems, standards, and tools (ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Six Sigma, Lean).
• Proven experience in supplier audits, corrective action management, and continuous improvement programs.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• 50% Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Hyundai Rotem is a global heavy industry company that specializes in manufacturing rolling stock, military equipment and plant engineering. It is able to produce all types of rolling stock, including electric multiple units (EMUs), high-speed trains, engine locomotives, wireless trams and magnetic levitation (maglev) trains. In addition, it is ushering in the new era of eco-friendly hydrogen fuel by developing trains powered by hydrogen fuel cells along with hydrogen infrastructure and hydrogen markets.

Position Overview

The Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for managing supplier quality activities to ensure all products, materials, and services meet the company’s quality standards and customer requirements. This role focuses on building strong supplier relationships, managing supplier performance, and mitigating risks in the supply chain quality.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Quality Management

• Maintain and manage the supplier quality management system in alignment with company and standards.
• Evaluate, and perform Supplier Audit and First Article Inspection on new and existing suppliers based on quality, reliability, and compliance.

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in supplier quality, quality engineering, or supply chain management.

• Proven experience in supplier audits, corrective action management, and continuous improvement programs.
