Job summary

Panelmatic, Inc. in Houston is seeking a detail-oriented Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure external suppliers deliver conforming components and assemblies. This role focuses on supplier selection, audits, approval, and continuous quality improvements.

You will lead root-cause investigations, review supplier documentation, and collaborate with engineering and sourcing on new product introductions, while ensuring compliance with ISO-9001 standards and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, with at least 3 years in supplier quality.
• Experience conducting supplier audits and root cause investigations.
• Familiarity with quality tools such as FMEA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficient in reading technical drawings and using measurement/testing equipment.
• Experience with ISO-9001 quality management systems (QMS).
• Computer literate and experience working with ERP systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required.
• Alignment with company core values required.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Panelmatic is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Supplier Quality Engineer. The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for ensuring that external suppliers deliver components, materials, and assemblies that meet quality, safety, and performance standards. This role will cover electrical products and focus on supplier selection and approval, audits, re-evaluation, continuous quality improvement, and root-cause corrective actions.

Job Duties:
