Job summary

AAON in Redmond, Oregon seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to monitor and improve supplier quality across assigned suppliers and locations, partnering with internal teams to reduce defects and ensure compliance with quality requirements.

You will lead supplier audits, corrective actions, and risk mitigation, support new product introductions, and maintain supplier scorecards to drive continuous improvement. Travel up to 75% may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in quality engineering, supplier quality, or related field.
• Experience with advanced quality planning, PFMEA, control plans, RCA, supplier audits, and CAPA methodologies.
• Professional quality certifications and manufacturing/engineered product experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors supplier quality performance through metrics and risk indicators to identify improvement opportunities.
• Leads corrective action with suppliers and implements sustainable quality improvements.
• Performs supplier audits, assessments, and surveillance to verify QMS and process conformance.
• Evaluates suppliers on quality systems, capabilities, and risks; supports launches and risk mitigation.
• Collaborates with engineering, operations, supply chain, and purchasing to boost supplier effectiveness.
• Develops supplier quality reporting, scorecards, and performance reviews for decisions.
