Job summary

Komatsu America Corp. is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for the Value Innovation Group in Peoria, Illinois. The role supports the manager in coordinating supplier quality improvements, audits, and corrective actions within the supply chain, driving continual improvements across Komatsu Peoria products.

The position requires extensive supplier quality experience, ISO 9001 process development, and leadership in cross‑functional teams, with travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• AAS in Engineering, Business Administration or other technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in supplier quality.
• ASQC certification (Quality Engineer or Auditor) preferred.
• ISO internal auditor preferred, with 3+ years experience.
• Strong communication, presentation and leadership abilities.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct supplier audits to assure supplier processes and quality systems meet requirements.
• Lead corrective action system and PPAP for new/ revised supplier submissions.
• Analyze data and prioritize supplier improvement actions.
• Develop and present quality indices for internal and external use.
• Lead cross‑functional QC Circle and safety initiatives as needed.
