Job summary

Woodward is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer I or II in Spartanburg to monitor supplier performance and drive quality improvements. You will identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and maintain thorough quality documentation while collaborating with procurement and engineering teams to meet product standards.

Successful candidates typically have aerospace quality experience, GD&T knowledge, and APQP understanding.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in Aerospace Quality or regulated manufacturing, technology, operations related field.
• Interprets engineering drawings with GD&T knowledge.
• AS9145 and APQP understanding are preferred.

Estimated annual base pay: $62,000.00 (minimum) - $81,000.00 (midpoint) - $99,000.00 (maximum)

Supplier Quality Engineer I or II LEVEL II

Estimated annual base pay: $75,000.00 (minimum) - $97,000.00 (midpoint) - $120,000.00 (maximum)

LEVEL I Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor Supplier Performance: Evaluates supplier quality metrics and conducts regular assessments to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Resolve Quality Issues: Identifies root causes of supplier related quality problems and implements effective corrective actions.
• Enhance Quality Processes: Collaborates with suppliers to develop and improve quality control procedures that meet customer and company requirements.
• Maintain Quality Documentation: Prepares and manages detailed reports and records related to supplier quality performance and compliance.
• Facilitate Cross Functional Communication: Works with internal teams such as procurement and engineering to align on quality standards and address supplier concerns.

• Continuous Improvement Leadership: Lead small scale improvement projects focused on enhancing supplier processes and product quality through the implementation of best practices.
• Cross Functional Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, engineering, and production teams to align supplier quality objectives with overall business goals.
• Quality Documentation and Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive quality reports and documentation to track supplier performance and support informed decision making.
