Job summary

Arc is hiring a Quality Engineer to own supplier quality for electromechanical hardware and the boats Arc builds. You will qualify and manage supplier base, perform on-floor quality checks, and drive non-conformances to root cause while partnering with engineering to resolve issues during NPI and ramp.

You will travel 50%+ to supplier sites, define acceptance criteria, and build supplier quality processes from the ground up in a fast-moving hardware organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing or related Engineering discipline with 3+ years of experience in supplier, manufacturing, or quality engineering.
• Strong technical foundation reading electrical schematics, wiring/harness drawings, engineering drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Own supplier quality for electromechanical hardware including wire harnesses, electronic assemblies, batteries, powertrain components, and related systems.
• Define incoming inspection plans and acceptance criteria, and run receiving quality on purchased parts.
• Qualify new suppliers and manufacturing processes through FAI, PPAP/APQP, process audits, capability studies, and production readiness reviews.
• Drive supplier non-conformances from containment through root cause and permanent corrective action.
• Review electrical schematics, harness drawings, engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T, and inspection data.
