Job summary

Teleflex is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer 2 to support supplier selection, qualification and development ensuring quality and regulatory compliance. You will investigate nonconformances, drive corrective actions and lead supplier improvements across multiple product lines.

Join Teleflex Acute Care to partner with suppliers and internal teams to strengthen supplier performance while upholding strict quality standards and industry regulations.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal communication, technical writing, training presentation, and team facilitation skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Knowledge of problem-solving and root cause analysis methods.
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques.
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 and Quality System Regulation requirements under 21 CFR Part 820.
  • Experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform supplier compliance functions and activities for prospective new components.
  • Perform supplier development activities with suppliers of defective materials, including developing and executing Supplier Quality Plans, SCAR follow-up, and implementing Six-Sigma and Continuous Improvement methods and techniques.
  • Resolve ineffective supplier corrective action plans with suppliers.
  • Coordinate supplier change requests.
  • Develop and implement appropriate strategies to support the change request.
  • Analyze and identify trends from quality data and develop proactive measures with the supplier in support of continuous improvement and supplier development.
  • Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflex Code of Conduct, all Company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

Position Summary

The Supplier Quality Engineer 2 is responsible for supporting the selection, qualification, monitoring, and development of suppliers to ensure purchased materials, finished goods, and critical services meet applicable quality and regulatory requirements. This role partners with suppliers and internal stakeholders to investigate nonconformances, drive effective corrective actions, manage supplier changes, analyze quality trends, and lead improvement initiatives that strengthen supplier performance and product quality.

Education / Experience Requirements
  • Four-year college degree in a technical or engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working within a regulated industry.

The pay range for this position at the commencement of employment is expected to be between $87,400.00 and $131,100.00; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will also include benefits such as medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, participation in a 401(k) savings plan, and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO, short- and long-term disability, and parental leave, dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
