Job summary

Siemens in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a Jr. Supplier Quality Engineer to join our Smart Infrastructure team. This role focuses on collaborating with suppliers to ensure parts meet specifications, leading audits, and driving continuous improvement across PPAP processes.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in engineering and 3+ years in supplier quality, with experience in PPAPs, CAPA, and ISO 9001. This on-site role supports production and engineering from our Grand Prairie facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, materials or industrial engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in supplier quality in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in production with PPAPs and incoming quality inspections.
• Knowledge of QMS, CAPA and ISO 9001.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure parts and material meet specifications.
• Evaluate and qualify new and existing suppliers based on quality performance.
• Develop and implement incoming inspection plan for existing and new production parts.
• Lead supplier audits and identify gaps for continuous improvement.
• Support production, engineering and quality engineering team for supplier issues and escalations.
• Lead production part approval process and related activities.
• Drive reduction in supplier incident and failure rates.
• Lead continuous improvement projects at incoming inspection and PPAP process.

You’ll make an impact by:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Mechanical, Materials or Industrial Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in supplier quality management role in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading cross functional teams in a production environment with prior experience in performing PPAPs and incoming quality inspections.
• Knowledge of QMS, CAPA and ISO 9001.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications :

• SAP Knowledge
• Good organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Six Sigma, ASQ Certification preferred, and Black belt is a plus.
