Job summary

EQVAL Group, Inc. provides services to the manufacturing sector including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and biotech. The Supplier Quality Engineer will focus on CAPA, quality tools and supplier selections within a medical devices environment, with an understanding of SPC and GD&T.

This full-time, on-site role in Puerto Rico requires bilingual English/Spanish communication and collaboration with suppliers to ensure quality, resolve NCRs/SCARs, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field.
• Experience reviewing and approving qualification plans and reports to ensure components, materials and supplier meet specified requirements.
• Experience with corrective action process and elimination of problem root cause through long-term preventive action.
• Experience reviewing material quality issues, implementing and supporting corrective/preventive actions with suppliers (SCRs).
• Fully bilingual (English and Spanish) with exceptional communication skills, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Support CAPA, quality tools and supplier selections programs in a medical devices environment.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve material quality issues and drive corrective actions.
• Review NCRs/SCARs investigations to ensure effective problem resolution.

The Supplier Quality Engineer will support activities in a Medical Devices manufacturing environment. Focusing on CAPA, Quality Tools and Suppliers Selections programs. Understanding of SPC and GD&T.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field.
• Experience reviewing and approving qualification plans and reports to ensure components, materials and supplier meet specified requirements.
• Experience with corrective action process and elimination of problem root cause through long-term preventive action.
• Experience reviewing material quality issues, implementing and supporting corrective/preventive actions with suppliers (SCRs).
• Experience with supplier development programs, improving receiving inspection process and preventive components rejection.
• Knowledge resolving material quality issues, specifications, and inspection procedures questions at the incoming inspection area.
• Experience evaluating, selecting, validating and qualifying equipment / tools/ technologies for accurate inspection, including fulfilling financial requirements for capital equipment acquisitions.
• Experience performing, reviewing and approving endor related investigations for NCRs & SCARS to ensure effective problem resolution associated to raw material/components.
• Fully bilingual (English and Spanish) with exceptional communication skills, both spoken and written.

*This position will be full-time 100% on site in Puerto Rico.
