System One, Inc. is seeking a Supplier Project Engineer (SPE) to support the Natrium Project within the Supply Chain.

This long-term contract role is remote-based, offering hourly compensation and close collaboration with the Contract Administrator and Technical Representative. Responsibilities include drafting SOWs and project plans, guiding supplier selection through RFPs, ensuring on-time delivery, managing technical interfaces, and expediting deliverables to keep the schedule.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required in listed disciplines.
• 3+ years drafting SOWs and overseeing supplier work.
• PM certification preferred; training welcomed.
• Knowledge of manufacturing travelers and welding processes.
• Experience defining supplier scope including SOWs and RFPs.
• Experience coordinating suppliers in design/manufacturing environments.
• Experience supporting contractual/commercial supplier relationships.
• Technical interface experience with engineering groups.

Job Title: Supplier Project Engineer (SPE), Supply Chain
Type: Long term Contract
Compensation: $61.00 -$79 an hour
Work Model: Remote

Responsibilities

• SPE (Contractor) to provide the following services to support the Supply Chain organization.
• This individual is responsible for management and technical integration of supplier projects supporting the Natrium Project in conjunction with the Contract Administrator and Technical Representative.
• Tasks Develop statements of work (SOW) and project plans to execute projects with suppliers in alignment with program objectives.
• Facilitate supplier selection activities for the request for proposals (RFPs) and team review/selection processes in conjunction with the Contract Administrator through the entire bid, evaluate, award and delivery phases.
• Depending on scope complexity, may provide direction and oversight of supplier projects, working with the Contract Administrator to ensure on-time delivery of contract deliverables.
• Manage technical interfaces between supplier projects and TerraPower’s technical team.
• Manage the document submittal process between the supplier and TerraPower Team including the coordination of the review process for supplier deliverables and ensuring appropriate responses and disposition.
• Key collaborator with internal technical and commercial teams to ensure fidelity to contract and technical direction with supplier.
• Expedite internal and supplier deliverables to maintain project schedule.
• Provide supplier oversight during regularly scheduled and impromptu visits to supplier locations as determined by Project.
• Provide project coordination capacity for supplier performance and oversight related to supplier cost and schedule.
• For solely assigned procurements, maintain awareness of supplier technical capabilities, organization changes, and relationships to ensure positive feedback to Natrium.

Requirements

• Key Qualifications and Skills Technical degree preferably in mechanical, electrical, chemical, nuclear, systems, or civil engineering required.
• Prefer 3+ years of experience in drafting technical statements of work, supplier oversight, or related activities.
• PMP certification preferred, or equivalent training is a plus
• Understanding of manufacturing travelers, welding, and similar manufacturing processes
• Experience defining supplier work scope to include development of SOWs, RFPs and providing direction and oversight of supplier projects required
• Demonstrated skills in coordination of suppliers in design and manufacturing environments
• Demonstrated skills in supporting contractual/commercial aspects of customer/supplier relationships
• Previous experience in technical interface with engineering groups for review and input to supplier activities
• Required experience with project controls and organization along with tools and processes to support the same
• A broad understanding of the mechanical, electrical, and nuclear engineering disciplines and how they interrelate is important
• Strong communication skills desired
