Job summary

Sun Technologies, Inc. in California is seeking a contract-based professional with strong 3D CAD skills and extensive experience in aerospace/manufacturing supply chains.

You will collaborate with program management, engineering, procurement and supplier teams to ensure procurements meet requirements and client policies. The role covers defining supplier scopes of work, maintaining approved supplier lists, managing waivers and deviations, and conducting supplier performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, aerospace or related field).
• Experience in manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of GD&T. Technical documentation and writing.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• 3D CAD experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with program management, engineering, subcontracts/procurement functional management and supplier management teams to ensure that all procurements meet or exceed the requirements of external and internal customers.
• Defines the Supplier statement of work with the scope of contract requirements and Client’s policies and processes and supplier quality requirements.
• Supports the maintenance of the approved supplier list within the Tooling Suppliers and periodically reviews supplier performance to determine whether suppliers should remain on the approved list.
• Manages supplier requests for waivers, deviations and discrepancy reporting process through tool deviation requests and QA processes.
• Evaluates supplier-non-conformances, negative performance trends and failures and determines root cause and implements corrective and preventive actions.
• Manages source inspection processes and coordinates with customers as required.
• Verify that End Item Data Packages within QTIS are complete and manufacturing CoCs are reviewed prior to shipment.
• Utilizes supplier performance databases and supplier quality management system assessment tools to provide objective evidence of supplier’s capability to perform.

Job Description

Pay rate: $30 to $37/hr. The pay rate may differ depending on your skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience in manufacturing environment.

• 3D CAD experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Engineering field, Composites experience.
• Supplier Audit assessment experience, Root Cause and Analysis training or Lean Manufacturing experience or certification.
