Job summary

Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform arrival condition, in-process and final product inspections, and witness testing operations to ensure compliance with drawings and procedures across shipboard, shop, and warehouse settings.

Must be able to lift 40 lbs and work outdoors in all four seasons; a high attention to detail and strong organizational skills are preferred. 1st shift, full-time, on-site in Newport News, VA; U.S. citizenship may be required.

The Role

The selected candidate will be required to perform arrival condition, in-process and final product inspections as well as witness testing operations. Also responsible for ensuring that all requirements of drawings and procedures are met for specific processes (shipboard, shop, and warehouse). Assist with Quality Improvement Activities
