Applied Materials is seeking an experienced Supplier Engineer (E4) to lead supplier quality, technical development, and operational excellence initiatives across our machining, forging, sheet-metal and contract manufacturing supply base. This role provides an opportunity to influence strategic suppliers supporting semiconductor capital equipment manufacturing while driving improvements in quality, delivery, cost, capacity, and risk management. As a senior member of the Supplier Engineering & Quality organization, you will work closely with Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, and Supplier Leadership teams to develop supplier capabilities, resolve complex technical issues, and ensure supply chain readiness for new and existing products. This role requires strong technical expertise, project leadership, and the ability to drive results through cross-functional collaboration and supplier engagement.
Up to 30% domestic and international travel required. Travel will include supplier audits, technical assessments, process qualifications, business reviews, problem-solving events, and support of critical supplier escalations. Ability to travel on short notice to support factory, supplier, or customer-impacting quality issues.
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable. For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
