Job summary

Cook Medical seeks a Manufacturing Engineer 1, Supplier to plan, direct and lead activities that support supplier controls and manufacturing processes for medical device products.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and strong proficiency with MS Office and enterprise systems; responsibilities include supplier-related change plans, QC non-conformances, and multi-project leadership within a global manufacturing context.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Biomedical/Industrial/Material Science).
  • Proficient in MS Word/Excel/Project/Outlook and the listed systems.
  • Ability to understand overall and detailed business software functions.
  • Experience with analytical thinking and problem solving.
  • Experience in communicating with a wide variety of associates.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to create and execute change plans for supplier related changes in compliance with Cook QMS and global regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate, document and resolve Incoming Quality Control non-conformances and specification discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Lead multiple projects concurrently with effective communication and timely completion to minimize impact to manufacturing.
  • Maintain all training requirements and seek opportunities for growth and development.
  • Interact professionally with colleagues across the global organization.
  • Adhere to safety requirements and maintain regular attendance.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality and quantity standards.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication in collaborative and independent work settings.

Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer 1, Supplier plans, directs, and leads activities that support supplier controls and manufacturing processes for medical device products.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to create and execute change plans for supplier related changes in compliance with the Cook Quality Management System and global regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate, document and resolve Incoming Quality Control non-conformances and specification discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Lead multiple projects concurrently with effective communication and timely completion to avoid or minimize impact to manufacturing.
  • Must maintain all training requirements for the position, while seeking out opportunities for continuous development and growth.
  • Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization.
  • Must strictly adhere to safety requirements.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Must maintain company quality and quantity standards.
  • Must have effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative and independent work situations and environments withminimal supervision.
  • Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferably in Mechanical, Biomedical, Industrial, Material Science Engineering
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/Project/Outlook, JBase, Livelink, Engineering Server, Business Objects.
  • Ability to understand the overall and detailed functions of a business software application.
  • Experience using analytical skills and problem solving.
  • Experience in communication and working with a wide variety of associates.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook and other business software applications.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.

Physical Requirements:

  • Works under general office environmental conditions.
  • Sitting for extended periods, utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, equipment, etc
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and communicate.
